Description :
Propylene Glycol Pharmacopoeia Grade is a clear, colourless,
odourless and tasteless liquid used as a solvent in extraction
of crude drugs and preparations in pharmaceutical industry.
Propylene Glycol Pharmacopoeia Grade is used as a solvent
for flavours, extracts, drug & food anti - oxidants; a
heat transfer medium; an emollient and humectant and plasticizer
for tobacco products, baked foods, coconut, cellophane, cork,
adhesives and paper products; a lubricant and mould inhibitor
for food processing equipment. A medium for cosmetics preparations
like cold creams, vanishing creams, shaving creams and shampoos.
Propylene glycol is used as an excipient (non-active ingredient)
in the manufacture of pharmaceutical products. It is also
used as a humectant and emulsifier in the production of food
and personal care products and in liquid laundry detergents.

Propylene Glycol Pharmacopoeia Grade is available in bulk
or in non - returnable resinlined steel drums of approx. 215
kg net wt.
STORAGE & HANDLING :
Propylene Glycol Pharmacopoeia Grade is stable over long
periods of storage & due to its low vapour pressure, toxicity
and flammability, Propylene Glycol presents no special problems.Store
in dry, cool locations. Being an hygroscopic material should
be kept air tight.
