Soya Lecithin is a mixture of phosphatides extracted from vegetable oil and meets international food standards of high quality.

The Specifications

Colour    : Light brown to yellow
Appearance : Semi liquid, viscous syrup
Odour : Predominately soya
Taste   : Characteristic of soyabean
Specific gravity : 1.040 + 0.005 at 25 oC
Moisture : 0.8 % to 1.5 %
Acid value : 25 to 35
Toulene insoluble : 0.5 % to 1 %
Acetone insolubles : 60 % to 65 %
Solubility  : Insoluble in water and acetone

Soya Lecithin is a natural emulsifier that has been specifically processed keeping in mind its end uses.  It is being used by the food industries, pharmaceuticals and in the manufacture of candy products, bakery products, margarine, chocolates, and other food products. It functions as a viscosity reducing agent, emulsifying agent, as an enhancer of taste and nutritive quality, as an antioxidant, as an emollient, etcIndustrial grade lecithin is being used by various industries for manufacturing different products, details of which are given below :

Printing inks, paints and : As emulsifying, wetting and dispersing agent
Other surface coatings  : dispersing agent
Leather : As wetting and softening agent
Taste   : As accelerating, dispersing and softening agent
Resins and plastics : As mould lubricant
Cosmetics and soaps : As emulsifying agent, antioxidant and emollient
Petroleum derivatives  : As antioxidant and additive to lubricant, to prevent gum formation
Paper manufacture : As defoaming agent
Alcohol and yeast manufacture : As antifoaming agent

The correct composition of the different active phosphatides in Soya lecithin is the reason for its versatile utility.

Soya lecithin is available in bulk in new HMHDPE Plastic drums of 200 Kgs.
